  2011 Australian Open Karate Championships  


Whilst visiting Melbourne, World Kata Champion Antonio Diaz took time out to come to the 2011 Australian Open Karate Championships, here he is pictured with Karate Victoria’s President Mr John Frazzetto and Treasurer Mr Frank Poci.

  Australian Karate Federation - New Tournament Software Released  
The Australian Karate Federation Inc. ("AKF") have recently released its new tournament software on the web.  SET Software is currently being used in most European Countries for the running of their tournaments.

Competitors can register, pay and access additional information on the website about the tournaments available to them.  Please check this website for regular updates on tournament information.

Coming soon, Karate Victoria will have SET available for competitors to register for tournaments and we shall keep you posted to when this facility will be available.

  NCAS Coaching Accreditation Update  
The Karate Victoria Executive Committee are pleased to announce that Adam Minster has been appointed as the NCAS Coaching Coordinator.  Adam is currently in the process of scheduling a Coaching Course for July 2011.  Karate Victoria will soon have a dedicated NCAS Coaching Course page available which will provide information on future courses and links to all application forms required to apply for the coaching courses.  An email will be circulated to Heads of Style to advise when this page is available.  For any enquiries, Adam can be contacted on 0410 537 043 or via e-mail at karatevictoriacoach@gmail.com
